1940 Chevrolet Coup Streetrod for sale in Seattle, WA
Listed at $38,500 USD.
1940 Chevy Master Coupe Title states “1940 Chevy Master Coupe. On the side panel of the hood it says “ Master 85” The car was restored in the 1990's. I did not do the restoration. Engine; Chevy small block. The new instrument panel when the car was built up shows 7,200 miles on the odometer. I believe the engine is from the 1990's, maybe a new engine. This casting numbers was on the rear drivers side (GM 5.7 LG SGI.). It runs good. Front suspension; Mustang II front clip with disc brakes. The cross member is a Heidts (Hot Rod Shop Inc.) Since I have owned it I had Heidts lower tubular arms and coil springs put on it. Body and Frame; It looks to me and others that is was a “frame off “ restoration. A stunning paint job with a great color combination in good condition. Rear suspension; Leaf springs look like “Chassis Engineering Inc.”. Rear end looks like a GM with 10 bolts at the rear. Drum brakes in rear. Carburetor; A new Edelbrock was put on it just before I bought it. With these numbers 8867 AZ, 1406, 3116. Wheels; Front are 14” and rear are 15”. Rack and pinion steering. No power steering. Has AC under the hood but never have tried it. Griffin Aluminum radiator. Transmission; I was told it was a 700 R4, with overdrive. Interior; Nicely done. Driver’s seat is powered. Trunk is finished out to match the cab interior. Has radio and CD player. Instrument gauges are VDO. Has heater that works. Overall this is a very nice street rod and drives nice. Located in Omak WA This car will be at the car show in Chelan Saturday Sept 12 until noon that day.
