Up for sale is my orange 1959 Chevy 3100 stepside. I bought this truck out west in 1983 and have owned it for over 40 years. It is an honest, reliable old truck that has blemishes and looks its age, but it is mechanically sorted and still used to haul compost and materials today. Clean NC title in hand. The Good (The Major Work is Done): • Engine: Rebuilt 1953 GMC Inline-6. Runs great, starts right up, and pulls hard. • Transmission: Heavy-duty 4-speed manual (floor shift). • Electrical: Re-wired. Every single light, gauge, and signal works (except speedometer/odometer. • Body & Structure: Had professional bodywork done twice over the years. Floors have been fully replaced (no rust holes). • Bed: Wood bed intact. • Other: New gas tank, rebuilt carburetor, new generator, new tires, and heavy-duty overload springs in the rear. The Flaws (What Makes it an "Old Truck"): • The paint has blemishes, dings, and scratches from years of use.
