CAR IS LOCATED IN ADVANCE, NC NEAR WINSTON-SALEM. Very nice highly documented 1965 Mustang. This was a one family owner until 2019. DOCUMENTATION: Since a Marty report is not available for a 65 or 66 mustang, this may be one of best documented 65's you will find. The odometer shows 87,500 miles and is documented by meticulous records of the original owner. Also included in the documentation is the very hard to find customer identification plate. Also in the documentation is the original sales literature and color chips. There lots of receipts for work done over the years by the original owner most of which show the mileage of the car at the time of service. While this is not a Barrett Jackson level car it is truly an extremely nice driver quality classic that can be driven and enjoyed and even showed at local shows. CONDITION: The car had a light frame on restoration a few years back but remains mostly a survivor like car. The base coat clear coat is a rare dark turquoise paint that still shines brightly. But if you look hard you will find some normal wear you would expect on an older paint job. All floor pans and body panels are original as each panel has the factory stamping. Glass appears to be all original car-lite and shows only light wear as you would expect with an 87,000 miles car. TRUNK: The trunk is super clean and has a new stainless steel gas tank. Factory stampings are clearly visible on the bumper supports in the trunk so you can see there has not been any damage to the rear end. The trunk contains the original mat along with the original jack, wrench and what appears to be the original bias ply spare but has been used. UNDERSIDE: The underside is nice and clean with new shocks and recent exhaust. See pictures. ENGINE: The engine had a total rebuild around 2024. I have receipts. Please note the 65 and 289 stamping in the heads supporting that this is the original engine. The engine bay is super clean. The carb still has the carb tag on it. The steering column also still has the original tag on it as well. INTERIOR: The pony interior upgrade is super nice with new carpet. The original radio has been swapped for a modern blue tooth stereo with speakers. No cuting to the dash. I have the original radio as well.
