Refrigerator White 1973 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special Zenith Stromberg Carburetors on a mildly modified ZS intake manifold 4 - Speed Transaxle welded-to-the-frame Roll Bar High ratio steering, absurd shifter linkage (to reach rear-actuated Renault transaxle), mechanical (not hydraulic!) cable clutch, and absence of brake boosters give driving a unique ‘feel’. Very low, and very flat when cornering. Currently the old tires with hard rubber (but little wear!) limit your lateral acceleration -- that and your good judgement. Famous Lotus Lightness makes it float, and over-wide front tires require your engagement in pointing it in the right direction. Really only fun when testing limits. It is not so much an exaggeration to paraphrase one of the Hagerty articles: each time you come back from a drive, you feel that you have cheated death. For the uninitiated, there is a good series of 'articles' about these cars: https://www.hagerty.com/media/car-profiles/lotus-europa-part-1/ Notes: original style ‘Otter’ radiator thermal switch works, but likes to pop out of the sealing grommet. Zip-tie retention is mostly effective. There is a radiator fan ‘override’ switch under the dash The intake manifold is modified with the cross-over pipe ‘sleeved’ out, impairing idle and low speed running, and tending to foul plugs if excessive time is spent cold at idle. An extra set of Europa alloy wheels come with car, as does an extra brake master cylinder (rare!) A spare ZS intake manifold, and perhaps some other Ford/Lotus Europa/Elan TC stuff may be available located in Pescadero, CA 94060
