1974 BMW 2002tii Selling my 1974 BMW 2002tii after more than 10 years of ownership. This is a genuine tii that has been maintained and improved extensively during my ownership, with more than $20,000 in receipts and service records. It is not a garage queen — it is a well-sorted, reliable 2002tii that starts, runs and drives the way one should. The car has approximately 106,000 miles and has had only two owners. Major work and upgrades during my ownership include: • Cylinder head rebuilt • Fuel injectors professionally rebuilt by a specialist in San Francisco • Mechanical fuel pump rebuilt • New clutch • Bilstein shocks • H&R springs • Euro bumpers • Euro headlights and side markers • New interior • Extensive additional mechanical maintenance • More than $20,000 in documented receipts The original BMW 2.0L tii engine retains its Kugelfischer mechanical fuel-injection system and runs strong. Considerable attention has been given to keeping the fuel-injection system properly maintained, including rebuilding the injectors and mechanical fuel pump. The Bilstein/H&R suspension combination makes the car a lot of fun to drive while retaining the character that makes a 2002tii special. The car presents very well but has the normal imperfections you'd expect from a 52-year-old car that has actually been driven and enjoyed. I'm not representing it as a concours restoration.
