One Owner with 65,000 original miles! Original CA Pink Slip and Ownercard! This '79 Continental Mark V was owned by my grandfather and I grew up with it. He stopped driving it in the early 90's after getting into a couple fender benders as documented in the photos. I revived the 400M with a new carb and radiator hoses a couple years ago and it sounded like a new engine, absolutely amazing. It sat too long since then and the carb accelerator pump got dried out so it should have all of the soft parts replaced on it and clean it. It will run now after you manually fill the bowls, but I also have a video of it running 2 years ago from it's own gas tank. This car can be made roadworthy in a weekend. It needs the carb rebuilt, heater hoses hooked up (bypassing the metal tubes I removed), installing new thermostatic vacuum switch (included), and I think it needs a new master brake cylinder. The tires are old, but have no miles on them and hold all their air. The interior is in great condition, with the leather still soft and pliable. The carpet is still fluffy, showing it has never been wet inside. The headliner has a split and the driver seat switches need to be replaced and wired. The dash has some cracks, but is serviceable. For the body, I have a perfect original passenger fender that's included, and the driver quarter has damage as pictured. The car is free from rot, being garaged while my grandfather owned it on his grape ranch in Selma, CA, then got moved around Los Angeles a couple times being stored outdoors for the past 10 years. Any rust colored metal is on the surface from the outside elements. If you've ever driven one of these, you know it's an incredibly plush and comfortable ride. You definitely feel like you own the road. The original pink slip is the only one ever issued. It has been on CA Non-op for a long time, so it's probably out of the system, they don't stay on non-op forever. All of the smog equipment is there to pass smog visual.
