I don’t want to sell her. That’s the gist of it. Hence, I’m going to make someone force my hand. I can’t mentally justify having 2 vehicles with the same capability so this one is on a chopping block that should keep her around here for a while. Why? Because, I don’t want to sell her. 1983 CJ-7, that I believe just about everyone in the US may have owned at one point. Last guy did a lot of work (I have the list), and I have continued to clean her up and fix things. Since I have had her, she’s got a new master cylinder. Rear axle seals have been redone. Replaced the rear drum brakes, custom drive shaft, 2 inch lift w/2 in shackles, running on 33” Toyos. Replaced the steering wheel and shifter and a myriad of other things. I have parts too. New gauges that I haven’t gotten around to installing, along with a new carburetor. But since the old one is doing its job, I haven’t replaced that yet either. She’s got the coveted hard top, but I haven’t had it on her since putting on the lift. I also have a bikini top, that I seem to have misplaced, but she’s more fun naked. She’s got the stock anti-theft device from 1983, also known as a manual 4 speed transmission tied to an inline-6.
