Selling our beloved 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser with a Chevy V8 350 conversion. This conversion is very desirable as parts are more readily available for this engine and it has more horsepower and better fuel economy than the original Toyota engine. Transmission is automatic. PROS: Many systems have been fully restored including a new engine! There is very little left to do for a full restore. All of the fluids have been flushed and well maintained. The body is clean, some surface rust present underbody. The interior is in great shape! The original 350 conversion was done prior to our ownership. In 2021, Both front calipers, and hoses were replaced. The power steering system was restored with a new power steering pump, belt, steering gear, and system flush. In 2022, the transmission pan was resealed along with a new filter and new fluid. The starter, starter relay, flex plate, and battery cable were replaced. The front axle seals, front bearings, new brake pads and rotors were replaced. The engine was replaced in 2023 along with many other components including the water temperature sensor, 2 fuel injectors, a knock sensor, distributor, ignition coil, fuel pump, fuel filter, Idle control valve, PCV valve, oxygen sensor, heater hoses, radiator hoses, thermostat, spark plugs, one of the oil cooler lines, transmission shifter cable and bracket. CONS: A/C system has been converted from R12 to R134 and compressor is new, but entire system needs reengineered to work with 350 engine swap. Horn is inoperable, rear wiper nozzle does not spray and front wiper motor is slow and may require replacement in the future. We've kept all the records as well as all the parts and miscellaneous gear from when we purchased the car in 2019. Our family has outgrown this vehicle, and we'd love to see it go to someone that can enjoy it more frequently!
