Hello folks. Up for sale is our 1989 Pontiac Firebird with the original 305 motor. I am the second owner but this car has been in our family since it was brand new. It has always been a Washington car its whole life, so there are no big rust holes. There is no rust around the door trimmings either. Please understand this is an original car. It is not going to be a perfect showroom car, but it is a very original, unmolested, all stock old car. It has never been cut up or messed with. Just an honest old car. This car was owned by an older fella and an older lady, that's us. We have cherished this car and put a lot of love into it. It has 114,000 original miles, which is practically nothing for these 305 motors. The dash reads in kilometers so it shows 186,000 km. There are no dents whatsoever on the body and it has never been in any major collision. The frame is in really, really good shape. We have done a lot of work in the last 20,000 miles, all professionally done and I have receipts to show: • Brand new AC Delco starter - • New water pump • New radiator and all new upper and lower hoses • Just serviced with new spark plugs, wires, oil change, and new valve cover gaskets • 4 years ago we had a brand new 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission professionally installed. That's the correct overdrive transmission these 1989's came with. Nothing was wrong with the old one, we just came across a great deal and had to take it at the time. • New air shocks in the rear • Shocks, brakes, and rotors always done when needed. Brakes were just done recently. • Very good tires with plenty of tread left It has never been abused or driven rough in any way. Never been raced. This was our Sunday car. It was so fun to drive this thing on a hot Sunday morning. It sure was cool to have one of these back in the 80's. They are very popular cars. This thing starts up in the morning and literally purrs. Starts right up even on cold mornings. No squeaks in the engine, just a very healthy engine that has been professionally maintained. No oil leaks, no overheating issues, and no check engine lights. She sounds great and drives really good on the highway. Lots of true American power. Real American muscle. The inside is pretty clean for original. A few minor cuts along the seat, nothing too ugly, just shows its originality. Headliner is in excellent shape with no cuts or rips. Dash has no cracks. Glass has no cracks. Back seat is very nice. Carpets are very nice looking. We are a non-smoking family. No water leaks anywhere and no rough smells of any kind. Unfortunately we are getting a little older and we must find this Firebird a new home. It has served us extremely well and we would love to see it go to somebody that will give it the same love we did. This would be a great Firebird for just about anybody. Very reliable and I would trust it to drive on any freeway going anywhere. At 114,000 miles you definitely have a lot of life left with this old girl.
