1990 Mazda MX 5 Miata Base 2dr Convertible for sale in Portland, OR
Listed at $9,800 USD.
Up for sale is my 1990 Miata. It's a very fun car and a great example of nimbleness and tossability that isn't possible with today's regulations on automakers. It's been a joy to drive and I'm hoping to find someone who will enjoy the car as much as I have. Clean Oregon title in my name. At present the only difference compared to the pictures is the car sits a little bit higher. The suspension that was installed at the time is included but not on the car. It has a number of modifications: Engine: - Racing Beat cold air intake - Raceland header - Track Dog Racing header heat shield - Racing Beat Power Pulse Sport exhaust - Whitener Racing Megasquirt ECU. Dyno tuned to 108.8 hp / 98.3 lb-ft. - Brisk DOR15LGS spark plugs - Mazda Competition engine mounts - Custom ram air from front bumper to intake - Koyorad aluminum radiator Suspension: - Bilstein B6/Eibach coilovers all around, 400# front, 325# rear - Racing Beat front sway bar - SuperMiata adjustable end links - SuperMiata extended lower ball joints - Heavy duty sway bar mounts - Larger brakes from 1.8 - 15" x 7.5" Konig Hypergram wheels w/ 205/50R15 Continental ECS tires, lots of tread left Other: - Short shift kit - Front lip and rear deck lid spoiler - Sparco steering wheel - 7 lb B106 Braille Battery - Hard Dog double diagonal roll bar with padding and cover - AEM X-series gauge/controller Includes lots of extras: - Whole set of older bilstein spec miata coilovers with shorter springs and stiffer rates (700/325), Whitener racing custom top hats - Original brake parts - Extra brake pads - Original ECU - Lots of documentation, service manual, lug tool, extra lugs, etc. Known issues: - The car sometimes stalls when coming to a stop. It starts right back up. I believe this is something in the Megasquirt tune, so the simplest solution would be to reinstall the original ECU (and lose the tune along with fun things like launch control). I imagine this is probably an easy fix in the tune itself for someone with ECU tuning experience. - Could use an alignment. I recently replaced the coilovers with the taller ones mentioned above but it has not been aligned yet.
