1997 Mercedes E320, straight body, high miles, electrical issues due to wildlife, old car problems. Strong running engine and transmission. Good condition considering the mileage and the electrical issues aside. PLEASE READ ALL BELOW Reg until Jan 2026 - yes the registration is lapsed, so you cannot buy and dump to the state for quick cash, so don't ask. Local, cash only, licensed drivers only. Anything else will be ignored. Requires Towing. Facts: 313k miles 5 speed auto, inline six engine It was my daily until parked a bit over a year ago and then mice decided to nibble on wires. Good: Passed smog last time it was on the road, last year, 10 miles ago Decently clean and straight interior and exterior Runs and drives reasonably well Amsoil or sythetic in engine, tranny since 2010 when we bought it Goes like hell when running well Locks and windows mostly work AC works decently Bad: 313k miles Mice chewed the wiring in the engine compartment, disabling ABS Traction control and right side lighting (makes night time driving a challenge, illegal). 4-6 warning lights at start up Has "old car" issues like seals and such crumbling. Plastic decomposing means cracking parts and interior has old car smell Remote entry busted Passenger door key not working (broken lock mechanism?) If lay into the throttle, engine throws code for misfire. I have replaced coil packs and wires to no avail. It goes away if gentle, which is how it passed smog. Need to turn off car, restart and mistfire mostly goes away. Hood open handle cracked off, so need to jiggle it to open Remote key fob is working but busted, so just a key Ignition switch needs some jiggling to work car locks/unlocks from trunk (been doing this for years) Other issues, maint that require attention or apathy (your call). Note: Being sold as is. No refunds, no returns, make sure you want this before handing over cash. It is said these Mercedes cars fall apart around the engine, and this one certainly is. If I had the space and time, would dump $2k into this and get it sorted, but we lack space so need it gone. This is a great project for someone and again, being sold as-is.
