2000 Honda Insight Base 2dr Hatchback Manual for sale in Denver, CO
Listed at $3,495 USD.
2000 Honda Insight Hybrid. Interior is in great shape. Straight body. Good Tires. No accidents. New Kenwood Bluetooth radio and ($400 value) High end Focal component speakers custom installed and wired for Sub/amp plug and play. Alpine 4 channel amp that is powering the focal speakers. Total value of sound system $1,500. Runs good and these models average between 50 to 70 miles per gallon. IMA battery is in great condition and includes a charger/conditioner which costs $300 dollars on the used market. The DC to DC converter needs replaced $85 part) or at worst the whole PDU (power drive unit) is about $350. This is the equivalent to an alternator on a non hybrid vehicle, keeps the battery and IMA charged in parallel. Works fine now but on really hot days or going up mountain passes, battery will drain and IMA won't work until the normal car battery is disconnected for 30 seconds to reset. The IMA will then fully recharge within 10 minutes of idle or a few blocks of driving. High mileage but these models have been shown to reach 300,000 - 400,000 miles. These models were made from 2000 to 2006 and are becoming more and more difficult to find because they are excellent commuters! My research shows prices from $3000 to $7000 from poor to good condition. Excellent with very low miles can bring over $10,000. Pricing low as I have moved away and have one too many vehicles.
