2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Z71 4x4 – 5.3L V8, Extended Cab, 6.5' Bed – $4,500 5.3L Vortec V8 (LM7) with the 4L60E automatic. If you know Chevys, you know — this is one of the best combos they ever built. 4x4 Z71, extended cab, 6.5 ft bed. Clean title, 202,600 miles. I'm the second owner; bought it at 93k. It's spent its whole life in Wyoming and Colorado, mostly running from the Front Range up into the hills and back. Not a city grocery-getter. What's been done (I've got a pile of service records): • Brand new front and rear brake pads and rotors (under 300 miles on them) • Transfer case replaced at 178k • Rear diff and 4x4 fully serviced at 178k • Upper and lower tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, rear shocks (~170k) • Fuel pump at ~150k All the stuff that usually goes on these trucks? Already done. What comes with it: • Camping topper with locks and keys • Rhino-lined bed • Roll-up tonneau cover (not installed, all hardware included) • Locking tailgate with keys • Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 rear airbags • K&N cold air intake • Tow/Haul mode, hitch receiver with 4-pin plug • Auto-dimming mirror with compass and temp • WeatherTech front floor liners • Tires have about another year in them The straight truth: • Does she have rust? Yup. Rear wheel arches, rockers, and the front bumper. • Is the paint rough? Yup. Passenger fender and hood are down to primer. She's 25 years old and looks it. • Driver seat worn? Yup, the bolster's torn. • Dash lights? Yup. Low coolant has been on for years — sensor. ABS and brake lights pop on together when I hit a bump, so it's a loose wire somewhere. Brakes stop fine, and they're all brand new. • Starts every time? Yup. • Ever left me stranded? Nope. Not once. • Good on gas for a V8? Yup, 18–19 highway up and down I-70. I wouldn't think twice about driving this thing across the country and back. It's not pretty, it doesn't have bells and whistles, it just works. Every time. If you want a shiny truck that heats your ass, drives itself, and makes you look fancy — keep scrolling. If you want a reliable 4x4 that's cheap and easy to work on, gets you there every time, and won't bury you in a car payment — this is your truck. I hate to see it go. Need more pictures? Just ask. Got questions? Ask those too.
