216,000 miles Great family / beach van that has lived its entire life in Santa Barbara. It was sold new by Santa Barbara Volkswagen in 2001 and has stayed local ever since. It has been meticulously serviced by Cory Motors in Santa Barbara. The transmission was rebuilt about 100,000 miles ago. The A/C compressor was replaced less than 1,000 miles ago. It also has new shocks all around and a partial front suspension refresh. These vans are really fun to drive. You get that classic VW bus feel, but the EuroVan is relatively narrow, handles well, and is surprisingly roomy inside. I’m a tall guy and can step into the van to buckle a kid into a car seat. The rear bench easily fits one baby seat plus two medium-size booster seats across. The kids also have rear cupholders and A/C power outlets. Extras included: • Uninstalled passenger-side rear-facing jump seat • Original passenger-seat base • New black fender trim • Matching headliner material to finish the cockpit headliner • Factory-matched paint and clearcoat for continued cosmetic refresh work A few things to know: • Clear coat is peeling in places • Seats / textiles could use a refresh • Some plastic-y kid goo on part of the rear seat — shown in photos • Windshield seal looks rough but does not leak • Sunroof has a minor leak, so I usually cover it when rain is expected • Cruise control does not work • Some sliding-door interior trim is coming loose • Both fog lights are present but need to be rewired With the passenger-seat swivel safe installed, the passenger-side rear-facing jump seat cannot be installed. The jump seat and original passenger-seat base are included if the buyer wants to return it to the original setup. Not a show van, but a clean, very usable EuroVan with a lot of the expensive mechanical work and useful upgrades already done. Great kid transporter, beach mobile, bike hauler, or around-town van. $10,900 firm. I’ve tried to price it realistically with the cosmetic and age-related issues above in mind.
