2002 Ford F150 Supercrew FX4 5.4l 2V Triton. • 330,000 + miles • The motor still runs strong • Newly rebuilt transmission (July 2026) by ATO Transmissions • Spark plugs and coils have all been replaced in the last year. • New radiator, trans cooler, and fan clutch • Limited slip differential was rebuilt a couple years ago, still nice and tight. • New shocks; Firestone airbags over the rear axle to help with load control, 2000lbs bed-slide from Highway Products • Tonneau cover and custom-built chase rack for overlanding (*Tepui tent not included*) • Pioneer double din stereo w/ a backup camera. • Rear seats have been removed and replaced with built out camping storage. I still have all the seats, buckles and hardware to go back in if wanted. • Front brakes have been upgraded from a single plastic piston caliper (stock F150) to dual steel piston calipers, out of an Expedition so rotors would have to come from the Expy as well. • Cold air intake is a Volant Powercore with a Donaldson filter and prefilter. I also have a spare filter, they run about $100 each. • Tires and wheels: -Wheels are the stock 17” FX4 wheels -Tires are Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT @285/70/17; ~Half of tread left; Full size, untouched new spare. Installed the new transmission and have been chasing intermittent electrical codes since. Took it to a transmission specialist – they replaced the vehicle speed sensor, internal wire harness, and the case connector adapter. Drove fine for 90 miles before getting codes again. This truck has been rock solid for the last 11 years. Knew when I bought it that a transmission replacement would be part of the deal eventually, but after months of troubleshooting I think it’s time to move on. It’s a solid foundation for someone who wants a project – I’ve gotten many of the possible causes of this issue ruled out. Happy to discuss more in detail with a prospective buyer.
