2003 Ford Ranger V6 3.0L — Honest, Well-Maintained Oldie but Goodie Selling my 2003 Ford Ranger. This truck has a great history — originally purchased new from Mossy Ford about 20 years ago by a close friend, then passed to his wife, and eventually to me. I have the records and history from new. For many years it has been driven only about once a week to keep it going, and I’ve used it successfully as my surf truck. It has always been treated respectfully and has had a lot of money and maintenance put into it over the years to keep it running right. The good: * New tires * Fresh service * Recently smogged * No check-engine light * Runs and drives well * No mechanical problems that I know of * No torn seats or abused interior * No cracked windows * Clean, intact interior * Full service/maintenance records * No rust * Ready to go for the year ahead The biggest cosmetic issue is the paint. The truck has spent a lot of its life outside on the hills overlooking Pacific Beach, so the paint is faded/dried out in several areas. There is also a dent from the neighbor backing into the side. I have never repainted or repaired the body, so what you see is essentially the truck’s honest history — no hiding previous damage with a fresh paint job. I recently bought a Jeep that I can use as my daily driver and surf vehicle, so I simply don’t want to keep paying the additional insurance on another vehicle. That’s the only reason I’m selling it. This is an honest, dependable old truck that needs nothing major and should serve someone for many more years if it’s treated respectfully. Hopefully it finds another surfer who will appreciate it for what it is — an oldie but goodie that’s perfect for heading to the beach, throwing your boards in the back, and having a good time. No trades, please. I already bought my new vehicle, which is the reason I’m selling the Ranger.
