We are the original owners with full service records. Being sold AS-IS — please read the full description. The main issue: The transmission needs to be rebuilt or replaced. On a long mountain grade it overheated and now slips under load. A shop (Dirk’s Transmission) inspected it (extremely burnt fluid with material in it) and quoted about $6,700 for a rebuild. It still starts and drives short distances, but should not be driven any real distance — plan to trailer it outside of Chico. Parts are readily available for this common drivetrain. What's good / recent maintenance: Strong, smooth-running 3.5L V6 AC serviced with new refrigerant — blows cold (6/2026, 242k) Radiator replaced (6/2026, 242k) All brake pads & rotors + brake fluid replaced — ~$1,600, only ~13k ago (8/2024, 235k) Power steering serviced, steering O-ring replaced (10/2022, 224k) Timing belt & water pump replaced at 213,763 (only ~35k ago — plenty of life left) Factory tow package: hitch, wiring, transmission cooler, heavy-duty cooling Original owner, complete service records Clean title in hand 248,xxx miles Full disclosure (other issues): Water leak: after rain, water collects on both front floorboards. I've tried repeatedly to trace the source and never found it. My workaround is removing the front carpet each rainy season — because the water hasn't been left to sit, there's no mold and no rust; the floor pan is dry and solid. CD player doesn't work (radio and cassette both work fine) Physical key doesn’t reliably turn the driver’s-side exterior door lock (worn cylinder). Key works fine in the passenger door and rear hatch, and the power/electronic locks all work normally Normal wear and tear such as minor door dings and rock chips. Great candidate for someone who rebuilds Honda transmissions, needs a parts donor for a Pilot/Odyssey/MDX, or wants a project. Everything but the transmission has life left in it.
