Offered for sale is my 2006 Mazda RX-8 with approximately 147,000 miles. This car has been extremely well cared for mechanically and driven with rotary longevity in mind. Anyone familiar with RX-8s knows that these cars live or die based on maintenance, proper driving habits, ignition health, cooling, lubrication, and heat management. This car has had all of those areas addressed properly. The apex seals and coolant seals were replaced at 139k miles by the previous owner, who was a serious Mazda enthusiast. Since then, the car has been maintained with the same level of care. Before buying it, I did extensive research on the Renesis rotary platform and have continued to maintain it correctly, including proper warm-up procedures, longer drives, premixing, and warm-weather oil selection. The car has always been premixed and is equipped with a Sohn adapter, new oil metering pump, and new OMP lines. It has been run on 15W-50 oil in warmer weather and always brought up to temperature before being driven hard. I am happy to walk the next owner through proper rotary care and operating procedures. You will be hard pressed to find a more reliable and better cared-for RX-8 than this one. A huge amount of the important preventative work has already been done, which saves the next owner from dealing with the expensive and common RX-8 weak points.
