**Mechanics Special** on this 2007 BMW 530xi wagon w/the N52 6 cylinder @ 244,325 miles. Vehicle will need to go through the dmv for its salvage cert to be street legal again or just use for parts. Car starts, runs and drives ok. Registration is paid until Jan 2027 however I recently received 'notice of intent to suspend' reg from the DMV from not having current insurance that went into effect 5/21/2026. Vehicle runs and drives ok but after the brief on/off road incident that made it "salvaged " it has thrown a few codes and warnings that sound too expensive to fix for the value. Here's a list of the known CONS.... -Bank 1 & 2 emission codes. Mechanic says it might need O2 sensors and catalytic converters to pass state smog inspection for salvaged title. -AWD/DSC & ABS malfunction warning. Car still runs and drives ok. Not in limp mode. -Noticiable engine oil leak i think around valve cover gasket that runs on to the R/H exhaust area creating visible smoke for a few minutes after start up. -Ticking noise on initial start up that goes away when engine is warmed up. -Missing a few belly panels from the brief off road adventure. RH lower fairing was ripped off from same incident and I do have new unpainted lower fairings for both sides with new clips that are included. -Starter slips but still starts everytime. -Back hatch window does not open. -Rear view mirror mechanism won't hold mirror in desired location. -Coolent level warning. (Cooling system was replaced @ 217,898 but warning still there. Cooling level looks ok and clean). Now for a few PROS.... --New water pump, thermostat, radiator and coolent tank reservoir kit replaced @ 217,898. -Oil/filter changed @ 241,558 (7qts) 0W-30. -New front brake pads @ 229,396. -New Les Schwab tires (qty 4) @ 236,412. -New $300 Interstate battery replaced 7/13/2023. I'm sure there's more to it but those are the items I'm at least aware of. The interior I'd rate a 7/10. Exterior a 4/10. Title in hand. I'm asking $1,000.00.
