2012 Ford Fusion SEL for sale in Boston, MA
Listed at $2,400 USD.
MECHANIC'S SPECIAL. SOLD AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. This vehicle is not being sold as a roadworthy or inspection-ready car, and I make no representation that it is safe or legal to drive. The buyer assumes all responsibility for repairs, transport, inspection, and registration. 2012 Ford Fusion SE, 2.5L 4-cylinder, automatic. 95,828 miles. Silver. Two keys, both fobs work. HISTORY Bought in 2013 with roughly 15,000 miles and owned by our family ever since. Personal use only, maintained regularly at Don & Wally's in Norwood, an excellent shop. For the last year or two it sat as a second car and was barely driven, only when the primary vehicle wasn't available. That's why the mileage is low for the year. Interior is fairly clean. Some light stains, no tears, no smoke. CONDITION AS OF TODAY The engine starts and the car moves under its own power. It has a broken front spring and no valid inspection. I am not representing it as drivable and I do not warrant that it is. Video is included to show current proof of engine and driving condition. THE DOOR On May 9, 2026 someone backed out of their driveway into the car while it was parked. That caused the dent in the driver's door and the broken window glass below the beltline. The door opens from the inside only. Insurance estimated $1,664 to repair: $386 door and parts, $490 paint, $787 labor. Two body shops reviewed it and agreed the estimate was fair. I can show you that paperwork. I'm disclosing it so you know exactly what you're buying, not as a claim that the repair will go that way for you. The title is clean. The car was never declared a total loss, the insurer wrote it up as a repair. I don't know whether the accident shows on Carfax or AutoCheck. The claim was paid, so it may well appear there. I haven't pulled a report and I'm not going to represent what's in one. Run the VIN yourself before you buy. OTHER KNOWN DEFECTS Rear bumper has paint loss and a rust streak, unrelated to the door. Rust perforation near the driver's side rocker panel due to new england winters where snow would aggregate by back tire. My mechanic called it localized and patchable. Judge it yourself. WHAT DON & WALLY'S (MECHANIC) SAYS IT NEEDS FOR INSPECTION IN ADDITION TO DOOR: $2,166 Front struts, both sides, right front spring broken: $1,012 Front control arm: $527 Exhaust leak at the resonator, cut and weld: $400 Rocker panel repair: $200 Wiper blades: $27 I can get this in writing from the shop if desired for any serious buyer. It is their assessment, not a guarantee, and there may be more wrong than anyone has found. INSPECTION Last inspection sticker expired in 2025. It will not pass as it sits even though we've driven. Plan on trailering it. If you choose to drive it, that is entirely your decision and your liability. VIN: 3FAHP0HAXCR321615. Pull the history yourself, please do. TERMS Cash only. As-is, where-is, no warranty express or implied, no return, no recourse. Signed bill of sale listing every defect above. Price: $2,400. No test drives. Broken spring, no inspection, not insured for it. You are welcome to come to my driveway in Westwood, look it over as long as you like, start it, and bring your own mechanic. Bring a flashlight and get under it. No trades, no shipping, no holds, no payment apps.
