I’m selling my 2012 Mazda 2. I would love to bring it with me, but I just moved to Oregon and don’t have the space. This is a solid car, it just needs a little work to get back on the road. Overview - Clean title - Regular maintenance - Same owner for the last 12 years - 356,554 miles Quirks - Currently has a Planned Non-Operation (PNO) status in the state of California, so you would need to renew the registration - Was used as a courier vehicle, so backseats have been pulled out - Needs interior cleaning (dog owner) - In 2022, my insurance company paid for extensive repairs under the hood after storm-related flood damage. After that rebuild, it ran like a beast for years with barely any mechanical issues. Now it needs some love. Repairs - Battery is currently dead - Serpentine belt is cracked - Windshield is cracked - Shift Solenoid D stuck in transmission - Solenoid E permanent code Here’s the main takeaway: my mechanic said the solenoid is going to need to be replaced before the car is safe for normal road use. The reverse gear only works intermittently and the car won’t go above 35 miles per hour. KBB currently shows a private-party range of $1,560–$2,110 in fair condition.
