My opening offer is $17,000 for a quality car that will cruise the highway all day at 85 and gets 35 MPG, more if you drive it slower. Trades considered, no bikes. The reason you're looking at this ad is you know something about the A8L, specifically the TDI. Yes, the diesel, that is why I bought it. It is reliable, powerful and I get about 35 MPG compared to 20 MPG at best for the 3.0 Gas, and 12-14 MPG for the V8, V10 and V12 model gas A8's. A true luxury car that costs significantly less to drive on a mileage basis over a gas version, consider this: At $6/gallon for diesel and $5 for premium gas, the diesel is $0.17/mile and the gas is $0.25/mile, and a 700+ mile highway range. Always refill at 1/8 tank or more, diesels circulate fuel to cool and lubricate the system. This ensures plenty of fuel. No, it will not run on vegetable oil and Bio-Diesel is not recommended per the manufacturer. If a diesel isn't what you are looking for, please don't call and try to knock me on the price. The A8 series is all aluminum and has always been a limited production car. It was $110,000 new and is one of the best cars I have ever owned. I just round tripped a week through Detroit in all the comfort worthy of the A8L All the gadgets, the only ones it doesn't have are the B&O sound, and rear seat entertainment. Air ride suspension Bose sound Gorgeous dark burl wood trim More seat adjustments than you'll ever need (or in my case find) More airbags than a session of congress Cold package heated seats & steering wheel Recent oil change with the proper VW grade for the TDI New serpentine belt, tensioner and idlers Fairly new tires, good tread I don't need any help from dealers, brokers or anyone else to sell the car. Kelly concurs with my valuation, they don't sell cars, nor do they have cars for sale. I've sold cars professionally in prior years, if another one somewhere else is less, then go buy it.
