I began this shuttle bus conversion almost 4 years ago so that I had a home when I went back to being a traveling PTA. During this time, however, fate had a different plan. I met my fiancé and chose to stay put instead. So here we are. Vehicle Information: 148,200 miles Unleaded gas Regular maintenance and repairs with receipts done at local body shop (A1 Truck and Auto) Improvements/Upgrades I've Made: Interior... Gutted entire bus down to the aluminum frame and bare walls for adhesive and rust removal before caulking seams with marine caulk and painting as much of the interior frame that I could access Floor rails have been filled and both the subfloor and rails are caulked into place. I began installing plywood floor to reinforce and level the subfloor Derusted and restructured interior stairs behind the bus doors to slope downward towards door Driver seat has been reupholstered Removed the posterior or passengers heater and air conditioner as these two elments couldn't be seperated from the bus to run independently. They required the bus engine to be on in order to operate making them useless Both sides, back and most of the roof has all be reinforced with 3/4 inch plywood and is bracketed into place (As seen in pictures) Interior dually wheel wells were rewelded (by A1) and is reinforced with 3/4 inch plywood (As seen in pictures) Replaced battery in 04/2023 Exterior... Removed the entire roof due to it warping/sagging between the aluminum framing and multiple leaks. I reconstructed this with 3/4 inch plywood and fiberglass shower siding; attached using marine caulk Roof section over bus door was drawn out so water wouldn't drain onto the stairs All bus windows and frames were removed, cleaned, derusted, painted (where needed) and reinstalled with marine caulk New front windshield All fascia pieces along the back side of bus were removed, cleaned, some replaced due to excessive damage and reinstalled with marine caulk Dually wheel well fascia removed, cleaned and reinstalled using marine caulk New undercoating applied 04/2025 Rear axel repair 06/2023 Materials included in purchase, if buyer wants: Gutters to go just above windows Left over aluminum trim, trim insert and end caps Additional speakers and amplifier 1 standard car seat 2 pivot seat frames Roof cleaner and 1 can of left over roof sealer (practically full) Extra bus light frames with wiring and light bulbs
