In June 2025, we had the vehicle diagnosed at Soerens Ford in Brookfield. The technician found multiple initial diagnostic codes. After clearing and rescanning, P0016 (variable camshaft timing) remained. The technician documented that the engine was off timing and also noted smoke from the tailpipes and small traces of oil in the turbo inlet/outlet tubes. The dealership recommended a long-block engine repair/replacement estimated at approximately $16,458, plus other recommended work. We decided not to put that kind of money into a vehicle with this mileage. The important thing is that we have continued to drive the vehicle since the diagnosis. It now has 175,469 miles and runs and drives. The check-engine light will cause the vehicle to fail the Wisconsin emissions test in Waukesha County in its current condition. There is also a large dent in the rear liftgate. The liftgate still opens and closes properly. See photos. Sold AS-IS I'm being completely upfront about the engine issue and body damage.
